In seconds, a thunderous roar - after-burners flare - a Eurofighter or F-35 or Mirage tears away from the runway, the sun glinting on its fuselage, the sky painted with contrails. Then a short while later, a simulated “Red Air” threat group comes in low, break-turns over the fields, your shutter is firing, your heart’s racing, you’re capturing something real, dynamic and rare.

This is short, sharp immersion into the heart of the TLP programmes November activities. A three-day, old school outside the fence experience where you can expect an incredible mix of NATO fast jets - Eurofighters, Rafales, F-16s, Tornados, AV-8B and EF-18's flying daily in intense multinational training missions.
From vantage points outside the base, you can capture afterburner climbs, formation departures, and dynamic approaches under perfect Spanish skies. Access to multiple vantage points outside the base means flexibility: runway shots, approach/departure, distant overheads, ground-action.
The variety of countries participating means you’ll get interesting tail-markings, national schemes, squadron emblems and unique moment-shots.

COAP's preferred flights are from Gatwick to Valencia on Monday 24th November departing at 0740hrs and arriving in Spain at 1100hrs. The return from Valencia on 26th November is at 2120hrs and arrives back into London at 2250hrs.
We will collect our transport from Valencia airport on arrival an then drive to Base Aérea de Los Llanos, Albacete before going onto our hotel for the next two nights.
Tuesday we will be at various locations around the base to see the various waves of aircraft depart and return. After a second night in the hotel we will revisit the locations that were most interesting until we need to leave for our retirn to the airport during the afternoon.
