Join COAP for a dedicated aviation photography trip to the Belgian Air Force Days at Florennes Air Base, one of Europe’s standout military aviation events and a proven favourite with photographers.
This trip is built around maximising your time on base and putting you in the best possible position to capture a wide range of aviation subjects.
Over three full days, you’ll experience everything from aircraft arrivals and ground operations through to full flying display sequences, giving you the opportunity to capture a wide range of images.
The key highlight is the dedicated Spotters’ Day. With limited attendance and access designed specifically for enthusiasts, it offers a noticeably improved photography environment compared to standard airshow days. You’ll have more space, better sightlines, and closer proximity to aircraft, all-in-all ideal for capturing taxi shots, ground crew activity, and operational detail that’s often difficult to access elsewhere.
Across the weekend public show days, the pace shifts to full airshow flying, with a strong mix of military aircraft and dynamic display flying. This combination of access and action means you’re not just relying on flypasts and offers the opportunity to come away with a complete set of images covering air, ground, and everything in between.
Just as importantly, the trip is structured to be straightforward and sociable. Travel, accommodation, and daily movements are all planned with our photographers in mind, allowing you to focus on shooting rather than logistics.
Evenings are relaxed and informal, with the chance to review images, share experiences from the day, and enjoy good food and a drink with a group of like-minded people.
Overall, this is a well-balanced trip that combines strong access, varied aviation content, and an easy-going group atmosphere, absolutely ideal for anyone looking to make the most of a major European airshow from a photographer’s perspective.
