We are extremely pleased to host our first event at the only museum in the world exhibiting three x DH 98 Mosquitos amongst the many airframes within the expanding De Havilland Museum at London Colney, Junction 22, M25 .

Three Mosquitos will be the focus for a special COAP photoshoot with and without re-enactors at this unique event.

For those fortunate enough to have previously visited the museum its pretty packed in, COAP will ensure the areas around the Mosquitos are sanitised free of barriers etc. prior to the event for the clearest imagery capture possible.

COAP’s creative & imaginative spin of ideas promise to deliver historic scenes with and without period re-enactors not previously seen.

The shoot will include Prototype DH98 Mosquito W4050 resplendent in its yellow undersides with green/brown camouflage upper surfaces with and without re-enactors. Pilots will be dressed in white overalls/flying suits as well as technicians set around the precious airframe depicting time travel scenarios from the aircraft types first flight in November 1940

DH 98 Mosquito FB VI TA122 has received the museums focus more recently undergoing an extensive restoration programme nearing completion.

This very rare airframe will feature once again re-enactors to portray pre-flight checks & preparations by ground technicians & pilots for low level fighter bomber strike missions from 1942 onwards. We will utilise the currently displayed weaponry & bomb trolleys as well as aircraft engines to depict loading & servicing scenarios and also photograph the airframe on its own with lighting.

Finally DH 98 Mosquito B.MK.35, although this particular version appeared too late to see WWII service it is effectively a MKXVI with two stage supercharged engines used by the RAF’s Light Night Striking Force, with a pressurised cabin the aircraft was capable of delivering a 4000lb ‘Cookie’ Blast Bomb direct to Berlin and return fitted with additional 60 gallon underwing drop tanks.

This particular airframe is currently undergoing further museum maintenance. It is proposed that the state of maintenance will allow for technicians to be shown working on the aircraft as if on the 1945 frontline with imaginative lighting & the COAP time machine we also propose to portray the aircraft as if in flight.

The De Havilland museum welcomes our COAP photographers prior to the event on the day. For more information about the De Havilland museum and its excellent collection please visit www.dehavillandmuseum.co.uk
