COAP Wings invites you to join an exclusive aviation photography adventure to witness a truly historic moment — the retirement of the legendary Su-22 Fitter from operational service with the Polish Air Force.
On 10th September, we will travel to the 12th Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Base in Mirosławiec, where the Polish Air Force will mark the final chapter in the long-standing career of this iconic Cold War-era aircraft.
This is not just another trip — it’s a rare access experience crafted with aviation photographers in mind.
Access to a static Su-22 for detailed, up-close photography — perfect for capturing every rivet, marking, and weathered surface of this Cold War classic.
Unique vantage points to witness and photograph live Su-22 take-offs and landings, capturing the raw power and distinct silhouette of this swing-wing strike aircraft in motion.
Take part in a milestone moment in European aviation history — one that won’t be repeated.
The Sukhoi Su-22, NATO reporting name "Fitter," has been a mainstay of the Polish Air Force since the mid-1980s. Poland became one of the few NATO members to operate the Soviet-era jet, adapting it for modern roles through upgrades and indigenous integration. Known for its distinctive variable-sweep wing design and rugged multi-role capability, the Su-22 has served as a reconnaissance, ground-attack, and strike platform across four decades.
With their retirement in 2025, a significant chapter in Eastern European air power quietly closes — and you can be there to capture it all.
