A Platinum trip to the sunset-special Sanicole Airshow, including some social time in Brugge.
The Belgian Sanicole Airshow is widely regarded as one of the premier civilian airshows in Europe, combining a strong international flying display with a distinctive atmosphere. Held annually at Hechtel-Eksel, it has grown into a major international event attracting around 40,000 spectators and participants from multiple countries .
What sets Sanicole apart is its varied format, including a unique sunset show with pyrotechnics and special effects alongside the main daytime display, plus a strong mix of military fast jets, historic warbirds, and civilian aerobatic teams.
The result is a highly polished but still enthusiast focused show that balances spectacle with genuine heritage and operational flying.
Pairing our visit with a social stop in Brugge to sample some Belgian beers really is a natural extension of the experience, as Belgium’s brewing culture is deeply embedded in its national identity (it would be rude not to!). A brewery or specialist bar stop adds a social dimension to our aviation itinerary, giving participants a chance to unwind while sampling distinctive regional brews that are as much a part of Belgium’s heritage as the airshow itself.
